Cloward-Piven… have you heard of it?

In order to understand what is happening to our country and why, I refer you to Cloward and Piven, two former professors at Columbia University, who devised the “Cloward-Piven Strategy.” You can read all about this diabolical plan to rid America of capitalism and instill socialism by going to this Web site: Or you can type in “Cloward-Piven” in your favorite search engine and it will bring up other sites to read.

If you haven’t heard of it before, you’re not alone. Very few people are aware of this game plan for toppling our democracy by implementing our own social welfare and entitlement systems already in place.

Sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven came up with a plan in 1966 to bankrupt the nation by ballooning its debt and inflating its bureaucracy to the point of collapsing the economy. The result? This clears the way for a socialist takeover of our government. The strategy is in place now … and guess who is implementing it?

In August 1965, Cloward and Piven wrote an article called “The Weight of the Poor: A Strategy to End Poverty” which was published in the May 2, 1966 issue of The Nation. It inspired activists who believed that poor people can only advance when the rest of society fears them. Cloward and Piven encouraged activists to work toward sabotaging and destroying the welfare system, and consequently the welfare state would ignite a political and financial crisis where the poor would revolt and the rest of society would bow down to their demands.

At the time there were about 8 million people on welfare, and less than half that number were probably “technically eligible” to receive full benefits. Today we have more than 100 million people receiving some form of federal welfare, according to statistics collected from the US Census’s Survey of Income and Program Participants. With the population of the US at 314 million, that’s about one in three people on welfare.

Cloward and Piven predicted that persuading even a fraction of potential welfare recipients to demand entitlements would bankrupt the system. This would result in a “profound financial and political crisis” and unleash “powerful forces … for major economic reform at the national level.” Their article called for aggressive organizers and “demonstrations to create a climate of militancy.” This would lead to pressure on Washington to expand the welfare system to avoid major cities from erupting into chaos.

The increase in demands would break the budget to crash the system, resulting in fear, turmoil, violence and economic collapse. Such a breakdown would provide ideal conditions for bringing about radical change. That was their idea.

Cloward and Piven recruited George Wiley, a militant black organizer, to found the National Welfare Rights Organization (NWRO), and his followers invaded welfare offices across the country (often violently) to bully social workers and demand all that was “entitled” to them. The number of chapters grew to 523 by 1969 and there were 22,500 dues-paying families in the NWRO.

I won’t give all the details, which are found on the above cited Web site. But I’ll get to the point. The goal of Cloward and Piven was to overload the welfare system in this country to the point of bankruptcy, then to replace capitalism with a socialist regime. And it is a fact that Cloward and Piven were teaching their methodology at Columbia in 1981 through 1983, the years when Obama was a student there. Unfortunately, We the People do not have access to his college records because he does not believe we should have that information.

People often say, “He’s out of touch … he doesn’t know what he’s doing … he’s incompetent … he doesn’t know how to lead …” etc. If you believe that, you’re making a big mistake. This man is not a fool and he is not incompetent. He seems to know exactly what he is doing, and if his true purpose is to overwhelm the US economy to create systemic failure, chaos and an economic collapse, he will successfully destroy capitalism and the country from within.

Think about the tools he is using to accomplish this. Universal health care really has little to do with health “care” and everything to do with economics. He is adding thousands of new IRS agents who will oversee your health care rights. Especially after the recent IRS scandal, do you feel comfortable with this? What about Cap and Trade? It’s a joke that Cap and Trade has anything to do with global warming. The new taxes generated from Cap and Trade are just another kick-back of hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions to keep the Dems in power. Legalization of 12 million illegal immigrants is another tool he is using to overwhelm the system and bankrupt America.

We are in trouble. The first step to fix the problem is awareness. You owe it to yourselves to know about this Cloward-Piven Strategy, and to pass on the information to others, especially those who still believe that B. O. is going to save the world (give me a break…!).
